read the specification on the phone before you buy it and compare phones and carriers also plans. make sure you can afford what you are getting. check prepaid plans or phones.

This senior lady is new to the cell phone world .. I do have a used LG cell phone that works very well for my needs. This little phone has many options that I am not aware of. The capabilities that are within its components would be nice to know how to use some of the features, having no manual I am not venturing too far with it. Using the cell phone for general telephone calls, and texting which I have learned to do quite well.

the iphone is screen is tough.. Before the iphone 4 that i have, I was using the first iphone. It fell 6 feet (actually it's my locker)from the ground so many times and o damn the screen never shatters and not even a scratch. And the last time it fell, it was 7 feet high (top of my cabinet) and the battery is damaged. The phone would only last for 8 hours on standby or just 2 hours of usage. I hope it falls again perhaps that might work.

Thanks for the suggestion Valkdaddy, but thankfully I didn't have to do that.
I think the reason my receiver stopped working is because it fell off my bed one night, and then a week or so ago it fell again - this time, however, it seemed to fix whatever broke from the first fall.
I can't say for certain that was the cause for the receiver not working, nor can I say it fixed it, but it is somewhat of an odd coincidence. I'm just glad it started working again.
I'm just glad both times it fell the screen didn't crack.

I love my iphone 4. I use it more on playing music and video. I got a lot of movies on my phone and animes. I'm not sure though if my phone is also good with office apps.

iPhone...The only way to go. My daughter had an Android that a boyfriend set her up with. The relationship failed and I got her an iPhone...She prefers the iPhone by a wide margin...Bad UI on the Android stuff...

jshifts32....take your phone into the Apple store and see what they can do for you. I've always had a good experience. They are great people. Go the the Mall of Georgia.

It's a great buy I love my iPhone 4.
Although, for some reason, the receiver on my phone has stopped working. When I call someone, I can't hear a word they are saying, but they can hear me. The only way I can hear someone is if I turn speaker phone on. I called Apple, but I have to purchase AppleCare to even talk to a Technical Support person, and I can't seem to find a solution anywhere on the web.
That is my only compliant about the iPhone 4. Everything else is fantastic and I can't wait to see what they come up with for the iPhone 5.
