I own a 2003 S60. I was in love with it when I first got it new in August 2003, but it seems the longer I have it, the more shakes and noises it has. It's very discouraging to pay the money for a higher end car, but the quality doesn't seem to be any better than the average.

That's what happens to American cars - so much for Ford "quality". I'm not certain that the quality is the same as when Volvo was a Swedish maker of a German car. (what was the parts origin of your 2003?)
