Mobil 1 and Royal Purple and Castrol syntec I have used. Recently I have learned that they may not be all that they say. I may go to Amsoil or Stay lube as I understand that they are superior.

PAO oils (for automotive use) offer extended drain intervals and also typically increased mileage. However, even though synthetic oil heklps... mileage also depends on driving habits. with my AUDI... mileage is not a concern, I care more about perfomance and long lasting engine protection.

It is not recommended to extend oil change intervals. My engines are clean, which is main reason I use it.
