How can someone have a pump stuck of left in their tank? Most pumps are like 6 feet tall and weigh hundreds of pounds?

ok, I have never driven off with the gas pump in the tank, but have seen it done,,lol. funny thing though, its always been a woman driving. gives me a bad rep!!!!!
