'It is a scam': Judge rejects Elmwood speed cameras

Bye, bye, speed cameras in Elmwood Place. In a scathing ruling Thursday, a Hamilton County judge found that the village ordinance that allowed Elmwood Place to install the controversial cameras is invalid and unenforceable.

“Elmwood Place is engaged in nothing more than a high-tech game of 3-card Monty,” Common Pleas Court Judge Robert Ruehlman noted in his Thursday decision.

If motorists receiving tickets wanted to contest them, they had to request an administrative hearing that came with a $25 fee. “The hearing is nothing more than a sham,” the judge wrote.

A fee to contest the ticket, it is a SCAM!! Now, if you lose then yes I can see having to pay the fine PLUS court costs, but to contest the ticket to begin with? That is a joke!!

Stopping on time for those red lights is dangerous. On wet roads you ca not even stop on time. The yellow lights are too short. Government is just stealing money from the hard working tax-payers.
